Overview
Femap is a modern FEA pre and post processor used to generate finite element models of complex engineering products, and display solution results.

Using Femap, engineering problems can be improved by understanding how they perform. Physical prototyping can be reduced and design optimisation performed to reduce costs.

​CAD-Independent
Femap can directly read files from the major CAD systems including NX, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, Catia and Inventor. Standard file imports include Parasolid, ACIS, STEP, IGES and DXF.

Advanced Meshing Tools
With the meshing toolbox, complex assemblies can be idealised and meshed quickly.

Multiple Solver Support
Femap can interface directly to most industry standard solvers, writing the analysis files and then reading the results to be viewed in Femap. Femap generally ships with the industry-leading NX™ Nastran® solver.

Result Visualisation
A wealth of methods are available to view results quickly to understand the model behaviour
